Fu Ssu-nien Memorial Lectures

Geoff Bailey visited the Republic of China between 10 and 16 December to deliver the Fu Ssu-nien Memorial Lectures on The Archaeology of Ancient Coastlines

The lectures were delivered at the Institute of History and Philology, Academica Sinica, Taiwan, and the trip included a visit to the south of the country to see the impressive rescue excavations at the Tainan Science Park and to the recent excavations at the Bashian Cave, a site located on the east coast, where the coastline is undergoing rapid tectonic uplift at a subduction boundary
