Geoff Bailey awarded Hood Fellowship at University of Auckland

Geoff Bailey has been awarded a Hood Fellowship to work at the University of Auckland in New Zealand in 2016

The Hood Fellowship is named after Sir John Hood, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Auckland and the University of Oxford, and is intended to foster international networks and collaboration by bringing international scholars to Auckland, and supporting outgoing Fellowships for senior Auckland staff to work overseas.

Geoff will spend two months with Professor Simon Holdaway in the Department of Anthropology, who has visited York on several occasions, and is currently hosting Matt Meredith-Williams in Auckland as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Outoing International Fellow on the INTERACT Project. Geoff will work on developing a collaborative project on inter-hemispheric comparative analysis of coastal shell mounds and Holocene climate change.
